This course seeks to provide students from engineering disciplines other than aerospace with a basic understanding of the principles of structural analysis. Students will be introduced to aircraft loads, the aircraft structure, basic stress analysis, aircraft structural integrity, elasticity and helicopter structures, and an introduction to finite element analysis and its application.
